England: London

We've been in London for almost a week and things are all coming together. We've been able to get most of the ticketing details worked out and our Indian Visa should be ready on Friday. We've decided to cancel China due to expenses but are still so thankful and blessed to be doing any of this. DJ in Mozambique & Marissa in CCV Kenya wrote us back as well. They gave us the green light to visit early so we're so thankful that it wasn't a problem.

Coralee has been sick & coughing for almost a week but yesterday she started feeling good enough to get out. She was also getting tired of being cooped up in a small hotel room too I think.

We ended up seeing a lot of London yesterday! We went to the Parliament with Big Ben, Westminster Abby where we attended an evening song service. And last but not least we had a tour of the Buckingham Palace. Because it's the Queen's 80th Birthday they had a special exhibit of about 50 dresses as well as her jewellery. It was spectacular! Even I (Jason) was totally impressed. The diamonds were huge I didn't know diamonds could be that big!

We also went and saw Kensington Palace where they have a Princess Diana Memorial. Coralee loves Princess Diana and admires her heart for people. It was the 9th year since her death and many people had left flowers, photos & letters on the gate in front of the palace.

Today we went to Greenwich Observatory. This is where the International Time Meridian runs. We also saw an amazing museum on the History of the British Naval Empire. Tomorrow we are going to North Cotes to see the New Tribes Mission training school up there.

We return to London at 2:20 pm on a bus on Friday and the Indian Embassy closes at 4pm. So if there are any delays we will be stuck in London over the weekend. But if all goes well we will leave for Kenya on Saturday, Sept. 9th. So please keep us in your prayers as we are trying to keep costs down and get started on the next leg of the journey sooner.
