We took a train to Berlin from West Germany and spent about 4 hours touring the famous sites. We went to the Rightstag (Germ. Parliment), saw the World Cup stuff being taken down, a Jewish Holocaust Memorial, saw the HQ of the SS & the Gestapo, the place Hitler killed himself and the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie! It was a whirlwind tour. Coralee and I split up to get the bags and McDonalds and we made the train by 30 seconds!
From there we went to Munich. This is the biggest city in Bavaria, the home of the Ompha Music, my best friend Marty Geibel's favorite Music, Polka!

Yesterday we saw the castle that inspired the Disney one, Newschewnsien (Sp?). Then we went on a stroll through the central square of Munich. It's like 3rd Street Promonade. We even went shopping and spent about $60. I didn't bring enough socks, shirts, or underware and Coralee got a dress, earrings and a head band! The center square of Munich is really impressive with many huge Churches and government buildings. There is also a huge dancing clock that chimed but the dancers didn't work for some reason. We even heard an amazing 4 piece string & wind ensamble playing classical music.

Today we went to a small town in the Alps where they make thousands of wood carvings. We also visited a very impressive Abby founded in the 1300s that is still used today for a school, abby & brewery! We have loved Germany but are leaving tomorrow!
We take a train to Rome tomorrow and are planning on taking a Sabbath days rest on Sunday swimming in the pool and relaxing. Our trip is going by super fast so far. We can't believe that we've been here a month already!
We were planning on going to Isreal in a few months but because of the war with Hezbolla and the bombing of Beruit and Hifa probably won't be going unless the situation stabalizes.
God bless you guys you are in our prayers please keep us in yours.

I have been to all of those places in Berlin. Except for the World Cup stuff. They obviously didn't have that 5 years ago!
So what will you do as the Romans do when you're in Rome! tee hee! I hope you're keeping a journal of all of this. I wish we did when traveled through Germany, Switzerland and Holland all those years a go.
Have fun!
